It sounded like a mixture of belting or shouting. I hate it when female singers feel the need to show off their vocals in fast songs. They should save it for the balads and stop showing off. It's very annoying, Christina Aguilera is one of the worst for doing it. lol

Hush Hush is a song by the Pussycat Dolls, included on the first edition of their second studio album Doll Domination. Originally a slow ballad, the song was remade into an uptempo, disco-inspired dance song sampling parts of Gloria Gaynor's 1978 hit "I Will Survive", and retitled "Hush Hush; Hush Hush". The dance version was later released as a single from a reworked version of the Doll's second album, Doll Domination 2.0. Lead and background vocals for both versions of the song are performed solely by lead singer Nicole Scherzinger. The single has reached #73 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 so far.
