My daughter's 15 months. I'm trying to decide which one to tell Grandpa to get her (he asked what to get her for Christmas).
Wooden ones are sturdy and long-lasting, but not very pretty. Melissa & Doug make them, so does Plan Toys, KidKraft, Ryan's Room. Do a search on "wooden dollhouse."
I bought my 2 yr old the Fisher Price loving family dollhouse. Its plastic (easy to clean) but sturdy and cute as the dickens. The best part is, I picked up a used one at a consignment shop for $10 !!!
A dollhouse was the best purchase I've made so far. My girls are 3.5 and 20 mos. and it gets played wwith every day.

5. Decorate the interior of the dollhouse.

6. Decide who will live in your dollhouse.
